We are seeking a dynamic and skilled HVAC Technician to join our team and deliver exceptional service in maintaining, repairing, and installing heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and mechanical systems. Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and mechanical systems using schematics and technical manuals.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as filter replacements, system inspections, and preventative upkeep to ensure efficient operation.
- Install new HVAC equipment following detailed HVAC design plans and specifications.
- Troubleshoot electrical diagnostics issues using tools like ohmmeters and interpret electrical schematics to identify faults.
- Conduct plumbing repairs related to HVAC systems, including pipe fittings and drainage issues.
- Operate welding equipment for repairs or modifications of mechanical components when necessary.
- Maintain detailed service records, complete shift reports, and document all repairs performed for accountability and future reference.
- Ensure compliance with EPA regulations concerning refrigerants and environmental safety standards.
- Collaborate with building automation systems technicians to optimize system performance through integrated controls.
- Assist in property maintenance tasks related to HVAC/R systems to uphold safety standards and operational excellence.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an HVAC technician or service technician with a solid understanding of mechanical systems repair.
- Construction experience or familiarity with building construction processes is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of schematics, HVAC design principles, electrical diagnostics, refrigeration systems including ammonia refrigeration, and plumbing fundamentals.
- Mechanical knowledge complemented by hands-on experience with equipment repair, boiler operation, welding techniques, and appliance repair.
- Valid EPA certification for refrigerant handling; additional certifications such as HVAC/R or property maintenance are advantageous.
- Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics accurately; experience with building automation systems is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record for field service assignments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments.
