Overview
Insurance defense law firm is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Discovery Paralegal for their Irvine office . The ideal candidate will assist attorneys in various legal tasks, ensuring that all documentation is accurate and compliant with relevant laws. This role requires strong organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks, and a thorough understanding of legal procedures. The Paralegal will work closely with clients and attorneys.
Duties
- Manage and organize case documents and electronic files related to discovery.
- Assist attorneys with preparing and responding to written discovery, including interrogatories, requests for production, and requests for admission.
- Review, summarize, and analyze documents produced in discovery.
- Coordinate the collection, review, and production of documents from clients and third parties.
- Prepare document productions
- Draft discovery responses and assist with discovery meet-and-confer materials.
- Track discovery deadlines and ensure compliance with court rules and scheduling orders.
- Communicate with attorneys, clients, vendors, and opposing counsel regarding discovery matters.
Requirements
- Paralegal certificate or equivalent
- 3 years previous experience
- Superior time management.
- Maintains excellent writing and language skills.
- Knowledge of California Code of Civil Procedure, California State Court rules and procedures
- Ability to identify potential negative or crisis situation and apply conflict resolution principles to mitigate issues.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
- Must be able to investigate, document and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $36.00 - $45.00 per hour
