Varney GMC in Bangor, Maine is looking for a driven, results-oriented Commercial Vehicle Salesperson to join our growing team. What Duties Does the Role Include?
- Sell new and pre-owned GMC work trucks, commercial vans, and chassis cabs
- Prospect and develop relationships with local businesses, contractors, business fleet operators, municipalities, and construction companies
- Conduct product demonstrations, including upfit and vocational equipment presentations
- Understand customer needs and recommend the right vehicles and configurations for their operations
- Manage deals, close sales, and handle financing/lease options
- Maintain strong follow-up with customers for repeat business and referrals
- Meet and exceed monthly sales targets
- Work closely with our service, parts, and finance departments to provide complete solutions
What Does the Role Require?
- Previous vehicle sales experience (commercial truck experience is a big plus)
- Strong understanding of commercial vehicle applications (payload, upfits, diesel vs. gas, etc.)
- Self-motivated with excellent organization and communication skills
- Professional appearance and a customer-first attitude
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to work Saturdays (closed Sundays)
