About Canline Pipeline Solutions
Canline Pipeline Solutions provides specialized pipeline service solutions across the oil and gas industry, including tethered ILI support, pipeline pulling, HDPE and sliplining support, field execution, equipment coordination, and project-based pipeline services.
We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager to help lead our Houston-based operations. This role is responsible for managing people, resources, logistics, equipment, scheduling, field execution, and overall job readiness. The right candidate will be hands-on, organized, accountable, and comfortable working in a fast-moving field service environment.
Position Summary
The Operations Manager will oversee daily operational planning and execution for field projects. This includes coordinating crews, equipment, materials, logistics, safety requirements, project readiness, customer expectations, and job closeout documentation.
This is a leadership position, but it is not strictly an office role. The Operations Manager may be required to travel to job sites, and support field teams directly.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day operations for pipeline and oilfield service projects.
- Coordinate field crews, equipment, tooling, trucks, trailers, materials, and third-party support.
- Ensure projects are properly planned before mobilization, including customer requirements, job scope, safety documentation, equipment readiness, and crew assignments.
- Work closely with project managers, sales, field supervisors, customers, and leadership to ensure jobs are executed safely and efficiently.
- Oversee scheduling, logistics, dispatching, and resource allocation.
- Support field teams with problem-solving, technical coordination, and operational direction.
- Ensure all required daily reports, QC documentation, customer checklists, field tickets, safety forms, and job records are completed accurately and on time.
- Monitor job progress, identify risks early, and communicate issues before they become larger problems.
- Help manage equipment maintenance, shop readiness, inventory, and field support needs.
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure crews follow company and customer safety requirements.
- Assist with employee performance, accountability, coaching, and field personnel development.
- Support continuous improvement in operational processes, job planning, documentation, and execution standards.
- Travel to field locations as required.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in oilfield services, pipeline services, pipeline pigging, construction, industrial services, or a similar field-based operational environment.
- Strong leadership and people-management skills.
- Proven ability to coordinate crews, equipment, logistics, and multiple moving parts at the same time.
- Strong communication skills with field employees, customers, vendors, and leadership.
- Ability to work under pressure and make practical decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Comfortable working with schedules, job documentation, daily reports, safety requirements, and customer-facing deliverables.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Willingness to travel and support field operations when needed.
Preferred Experience
- Pipeline, ILI, tethered inspection, HDPE, sliplining, wireline, or pipeline integrity experience.
- Experience managing field crews in remote or project-based environments.
- Experience with ERP systems, field tickets, customer documentation, or project reporting.
- Mechanical or equipment-based field service background.
- Experience working with oil and gas customers, contractors, and safety programs.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a strong operator who can take ownership, communicate clearly, hold people accountable, and make sure jobs are ready before crews arrive on site. This person understands that operations is about preparation, execution, documentation, safety, and customer confidence.
We are looking for someone who can lead from the front, support the field, and help build a strong Houston-based operations team.
