Position: Marketing and Outreach Coordinator
Supervision: Reports to Outreach Manger
Status: Full-Time (Minimum 37.5 hours/week)
Classification: Hourly (Non-Exempt)
Pay Rate/Range: Minimum Base Wage Rate $18.00/hour
Benefits Offered: After employed for 90 consecutive calendar days, eligible for paid Sick Time, as well as participation in the Group Health, Dental, and Vision and 403(b) Plans (with a Company match on the 403(b) Plan contribution after 24 months). After employed for six (6) months, eligible for paid Vacation Time.
POSITION PURPOSE:
The Marketing and Outreach Coordinator is a full-time position requiring a minimum 37.5 hour work week and maximum of 40 hours per week unless overtime is pre-approved by management. This position works closely with Clinic Operations Manager and plays a role in fundraising, building relationships with community leaders, assisting in building patient base, brand recognition and management of outreach and community events.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
● Works closely with the Social Media Manager to create content and physical marketing materials such as brochures and flyers.
● Creates and organizes outreach events in the community.
● Works with Clinic Operations Manager to schedule and organize staff involvement in community events.
● Fundraising and creating strategic relationships with community leaders.
● Communicates with donors and the media to represent the organization (Tentative)
● Collects data and information to focus on the donors, events and venues useful to HHO.
● Protects patients’ rights by maintaining confidentiality of medical, personal, and financial information by following HIPAA guidelines.
● Promotes and practices Harmony Healthcare Orlando’s (HHO’s) mission and values, and follows its policies, processes, and procedures.
● Works effectively and professionally with a diverse population treating all staff, providers, and patients with the utmost respect at all times.
● Participates in all required training and certifications including, but not limited to: HIPAA, Biohazardous Waste, CPR/BLS, 500/501 Rapid HIV testing, and Rapid HCV testing.
● Performs rapid HIV and HCV testing when needed and helps to ensure all documentation is scanned and stored according to Florida Department of Health guidelines.
● Attends and assists patients and providers during community outreach testing events. Also may be required to attend community outreach events such as GayDayS, Pride Events, etc. Advance notification of dates/times will be given to allow for proper scheduling. On these dates, work times may be modified to ensure employees do not exceed budgeted hours.
CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
● Create and organize outreach events in the community.
● Assist in the creation of content for marketing materials such as brochures and flyers.
● Raise funds and create strategic relationships with donors.
● Perform Rapid HIV and HCV testing, as needed, after completion of training program.
● Regular, dependable attendance and consistent satisfactory or above job performance.
● Other duties, as assigned.
EXPERIENCE AND MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (Preferred unless indicated as a Requirement)
● Non-Profit Outreach experience. (Required)
● Experience creating and organizing events. (Required)
● Understanding of marketing strategy and content creation. (Required)
● Medical background is helpful.
● 2+ years of experience in marketing and/or community outreach. (Required).
● Vaccinations and immunizations recommended for healthcare workers by the Florida Department of Health; may include COVID-19 and Mpox vaccinations.(May be Required)
● Excellent English oral and written communication skills to include grammar, punctuation, and spelling proficiency. (Required)
● Proficiency w/Microsoft Office products (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams). (Required)
● Experience with Apple products and apps.
● Proficiency of other languages; particularly Spanish (Required).
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS (Preferred unless indicated as a Requirement)
● Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Business Administration, Non-Profit Management, or related field. Comparable experience may be accepted in lieu of education.
● Valid FL Driver’s License and access to reliable transportation (with current vehicle registration and insurance) (Required)
● Use of public transportation to events and other locations may be an option as long as work schedule requirements are met.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

● This position is generally performed in a professional office setting; 70% sitting, 20% standing, and 10% walking.
● This position routinely utilizes standard office equipment such as laptops, computers, phones, headsets, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
● Ability to lift/move up to 20 pounds.
● Occasional travel to participate in community outreach events may be required, including GayDayS, Pride Events, community testing events, etc.
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
