VERY FLEXIBLE HOURS!!
This position will be responsible for creating accurate, high-quality eBay listings, researching products and pricing, maintaining accurate inventory, organizing merchandise, and making sure listed products can be quickly located when they sell.
Because we deal in liquidation merchandise, our inventory changes constantly and includes a wide variety of products such as electronics, tools, housewares, beauty products, clothing, toys, collectibles, sporting goods, and general merchandise.
The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently, using computers, researching unfamiliar products, and managing a large number of SKUs.

- Write accurate and searchable eBay titles and descriptions
- Select the correct eBay category, item specifics, condition, and product information
- Take or coordinate clear product photos
- Identify defects, missing pieces, damage, or other condition issues and accurately disclose them
- Determine competitive pricing based on current and recently sold eBay listings
- Assign SKU numbers and inventory locations to every listed item
- Properly label and organize inventory after it is listed
- Maintain accurate inventory quantities and locations
- Make sure merchandise can be quickly located after an order is received
- Remove or adjust listings when inventory is sold through another sales channel
- Monitor listings for errors, missing information, pricing issues, or stale inventory
- Update prices and listings when needed to improve sell-through
- Create promotions, markdowns, or offers when directed
- Monitor eBay inventory levels and identify discrepancies
- Help conduct periodic physical inventory counts
- Identify lost, misplaced, duplicated, or incorrectly listed merchandise
- Assist with maintaining an organized eBay inventory/storage area
- Communicate inventory or listing problems to management
- Follow company procedures for tested, untested, used, open-box, damaged, and as-is merchandise
- Ship orders as they are received.
Inventory Management
A major part of this position is making sure our physical inventory matches our eBay inventory.
The person in this role will be expected to develop and maintain a system where every eBay item has:
- A unique SKU
- An assigned storage location
- Accurate quantity
- Accurate condition information
- A listing that matches the physical product
When an item sells, the warehouse team should be able to locate it quickly without searching through merchandise.
Listing Expectations
Listings should be created with both accuracy and sales performance in mind.
The specialist should understand how to:
- Use important keywords without keyword stuffing
- Maximize eBay's 80-character title
- Research sold/completed listings
- Determine realistic market value
- Select the correct condition
- Complete relevant item specifics
- Clearly describe defects or missing components
- Create listings that reduce unnecessary returns and customer complaints
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous eBay selling or listing experience strongly preferred (but not required)
- Experience with Seller Hub or other ecommerce marketplaces
- Strong computer skills
- Strong internet research skills
- Comfortable working with spreadsheets
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to identify model numbers, UPCs, SKUs, and product variations
- Ability to research products you may have never seen before
- Good written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to manage hundreds or thousands of active listings
- Ability to work independently and stay productive without constant supervision
- Experience with liquidation, retail, warehouse, or ecommerce inventory is a plus
Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who is naturally organized and enjoys figuring things out.
You may receive a product you have never seen before and need to determine:
What is it? What model is it? What does it sell for? Is anything missing? How should we describe it? Where should we store it?
The right person will be able to research those questions, create the listing, label the product, put it into inventory, and maintain responsibility for that inventory until it sells.
This is a hands-on ecommerce position and not simply a desk job. You will regularly work with physical merchandise and warehouse inventory.
