Responsibilities
- Provide attentive supervision and care for children of various ages, including toddlers, preschoolers, and elementary school-age children
- Plan and implement engaging activities that promote childhood development, learning, and fun
- Ensure the safety of all individuals by adhering to child supervision best practices and safety protocols
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians to update them on their child's progress and any concerns
- Administer basic first aid and CPR in emergency situations following mandated reporting laws and safety guidelines
- Support children with disabilities or special needs by adapting activities and providing personalized assistance
- Maintain a clean, organized environment conducive to learning and play while following childcare regulations
Qualifications
- Experience working with children across various settings such as daycare, babysitting, nannying, or early childhood education programs
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and behavior management techniques
- Demonstrated ability to care for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and school-age children effectively
- Valid certifications in first aid and CPR; ongoing training preferred
- Strong communication skills for parent updates and teamwork within caregiving staff
- Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child safety and welfare
- Ability to plan age-appropriate activities that foster growth, creativity, and social skills
