We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Carpenter Helper to join our construction team. This role is essential in assisting skilled carpenters with various tasks on-site, ensuring projects are completed efficiently and to high standards. Duties
- Assist carpenters in constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made from wood and other materials.
- Support concrete forming tasks, including preparing and pouring concrete for foundations and structures.
- Participate in drywall installation and restoration projects, ensuring quality finishes.
- Help with door hanging and installation, ensuring proper alignment and functionality.
- Utilize hand tools effectively for various carpentry tasks, maintaining safety protocols at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while adhering to safety standards.
- Learn construction estimating techniques to assist in project planning and resource allocation.
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of frame carpentry techniques is preferred.
- Familiarity with construction painting methods is a plus.
- Experience or willingness to learn about concrete forming processes.
- Ability to work with hand tools safely and effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Good physical stamina, as the role involves lifting, standing for long periods, and working in various weather conditions.
- A positive attitude and ability to work well in a team environment.
