We are hiring a Process Engineer for a temporary onsite opportunity supporting automotive axle assembly operations. This role is ideal for experienced manufacturing professionals who thrive in fast-paced production environments and have a strong background in process improvement, equipment launch, quality systems, and lean manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and improve manufacturing processes for axle assembly operations.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, and throughput.
- Manage manufacturing equipment installation, commissioning, and project execution.
- Conduct process audits and ensure compliance with manufacturing standards and best practices.
- Analyze production issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
- Create and maintain process documentation, work instructions, and quality procedures.
- Lead variability reduction, lean manufacturing, and process optimization efforts.
- Perform ergonomic evaluations and recommend workplace improvements.
- Ensure compliance with plant, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 5+ years of Manufacturing Process Engineering experience in a production environment.
- Strong knowledge of process validation, problem solving, lean manufacturing, and manufacturing engineering principles.
- Experience with assembly operations, process improvement, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and project leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Six Sigma experience and Lean Manufacturing expertise.
- Knowledge of PPAP, FMEA, DOE, Gauge R&R, and capability studies.
- Experience with automotive components, axle assembly, or similar manufacturing operations.
- Equipment launch, project management, and ergonomic analysis experience.
- Familiarity with Visual Factory Management practices.
