Description: Job Title: Quality Inspector
Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Quality Inspector to ensure that in-process assemblies, and finished products meet our strict quality and safety standards. In this role, you will perform visual and dimensional inspections, document non-conformances, and verify that all production outputs comply with internal specifications and industry regulations.
Responsibilities:
- In-Process & Final Inspection: Conduct routine quality checks during assembly. Perform final inspections on finished goods.
- Measurement & Testing: Utilize precision measuring tools (such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and pin gauges) and read work instructions.
- Documentation & Reporting: Accurately record inspection data, test results, and defect logs in quality management software or paper logs.
- Non-Conformance Management: Identify, isolate, and tag out-of-specification materials or defective parts. Document non-conformances and assist in root-cause investigations.
- Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all plant safety guidelines, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and OSHA regulations while working on the production floor.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent; and associate degree in a technical field or a Quality Certification is a plus
- 1-3 years of quality experience in a manufacturing facility, preferred performing quality control or assembly tasks.
Skills & Competencies
- High level of precision in identifying small defects.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience using precision tools (calipers, micrometers, dial indicators).
- Attention to detail in inspection and report writing.
- Abel to prioritize and multi-task.
- Proficiency in basic math.
- Solid interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficient PC skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
