Duties
- Cleaning Machinery!
- Perform detailed cleaning and sanitation of production areas, equipment, machinery, and facility surfaces using appropriate cleaning agents and techniques.
- Handle chemical agents safely by following all chemical handling safety procedures, including proper storage, mixing, application, and disposal.
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, masks, goggles, and respiratory protection to ensure safety during all cleaning activities.
- Conduct routine inspections to verify cleanliness standards are met in accordance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and food safety regulations.
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks related to cleaning supplies or equipment to maintain efficiency in the workspace.
- Maintain accurate records of cleaning schedules, chemical usage logs, and safety compliance documentation.
- Support warehouse operations by performing janitorial duties that promote a safe and sanitized environment for staff and products.
Skills
- Proven experience in industrial cleaning, custodial work, or commercial cleaning environments.
- Knowledge of chemical agent handling and sanitation best practices within manufacturing or food processing settings.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations related to measurements and chemical mixing ratios.
- Familiarity with GMP standards, food safety protocols, and safety protocol adherence in industrial environments.
- Strong understanding of chemical handling safety procedures and proper use of PPE including respiratory protection.
- Experience with janitorial tasks in warehouses or manufacturing facilities is preferred.
- Capable of heavy lifting and performing physically demanding tasks safely while maintaining attention to detail.
