Duties
- Perform tire rotations, replacements, balancing, and repairs to ensure optimal vehicle handling and safety
- Conduct oil changes using appropriate lubricants and filter replacements efficiently and accurately
- Assist with wheel alignments to improve vehicle stability and tire longevity
- Diagnose basic automotive issues using diagnostic tools and mechanical knowledge to identify necessary repairs
- Use hand tools and power tools safely to perform maintenance tasks with precision
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections to identify potential problems before they escalate
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining services performed and recommending additional maintenance when appropriate
Skills
- Dealership experience or automotive service background preferred for a strong foundation in vehicle maintenance
- Proven mechanic experience with automotive diagnostics and repair techniques
- Mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems including brakes, suspension, steering, and electrical components
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and automotive service equipment
- Ability to lift heavy tires and equipment safely during service procedures
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on clear communication and professionalism
- Experience with oil changes, tire service, alignment procedures, and general vehicle maintenance tasks
- Familiarity with sales techniques to recommend additional services confidently when appropriate
