Overview
We are seeking reliable and safety-conscious CDL A drivers with a tanker endorsement for Independent Contractors 1099 positions. Drivers will operate semi-trucks on regional and/or county roads, transporting liquid or materials safely and efficiently. Positions available - power only, company provided truck and trailer or your truck and trailer. Requirements are a 6,000-gallon tanker and insurance for any personal equipment. 8-10/daily, 5-7 days. Anticipated employment up to 6 months.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a semi-truck with a tanker trailer.
- Transport and deliver goods according to assigned routes and schedules.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Ensure proper loading and unloading of materials.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and paperwork.
- Communicate effectively with team members and customers.
- Adhere to all DOT regulations and company safety policies.
Safety Responsibilities
- Conduct daily and routine safety checks and report any vehicle issues.
- Follow all traffic laws and defensive driving practices.
- Ensure compliance with hazardous material handling procedures (if applicable).
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle.
- Participate in safety meetings and training sessions.
Requirements
- Valid CDL Class A license.
- Tanker endorsement is required.
- Clean driving record.
- Ability to lift and maneuver heavy equipment.
- Strong work ethics and commitment to safety.
