Position Summary
At Ember & Elm, our bartenders are skilled hospitality professionals who combine exceptional beverage knowledge with genuine guest service. Bartenders are responsible for crafting high-quality cocktails, serving beer and wine, maintaining an organized and efficient bar, and creating a welcoming atmosphere for every guest. This role requires precision, creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, chef-driven restaurant.
Key Responsibilities
● Welcome guests with professionalism, warmth, and genuine hospitality.
● Prepare and serve classic and signature cocktails, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages according to Ember & Elm standards.
● Develop extensive knowledge of the restaurant’s seasonal cocktail menu, spirits, wines, beers, and food offerings.
● Provide thoughtful beverage recommendations and pairings to complement menu selections.
● Ensure consistency, accuracy, and presentation of every drink served.
● Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar throughout each shift.
● Monitor inventory and communicate restocking needs to management.
● Follow all recipes, portion standards, and responsible alcohol service guidelines.
● Accurately enter orders into the POS system and process guest payments.
● Assist servers by preparing beverages promptly to support efficient dining room service.
● Complete opening, side work, and closing duties to the highest standards.
● Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the bar area, glassware, equipment, and storage areas.
● Collaborate with servers, hosts, service assistants, kitchen staff, and management to deliver seamless guest experiences.
● Uphold all food safety, alcohol service, and sanitation regulations.
Qualifications
● Previous bartending experience in an upscale casual or fine dining restaurant is preferred.
● Strong knowledge of classic cocktails, wine, beer, and spirits.
● Excellent communication and guest service skills.
● Ability to multitask while maintaining accuracy and composure in a fast-paced environment.
● Professional appearance and positive attitude.
● Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
● Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds.
● Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Pay: $30.00 per hour
