STAFF ASSISTANT
The Boone County Planning Commission is interested in filling the position of Staff Assistant. The primary duty of this position is to perform administrative/clerical duties, along with answering a multi-line phone system and greeting/helping the public at the front desk. This position reports to the Manager of Administrative Services.
Typical Job Tasks - Provides administrative/clerical support to Planning Commission staff members, answers multi-line phone system, greets the public, processes applications, calculates fees, and performs other job-related tasks.
Qualifications - High school degree supplemented by at least 4 years of clerical/office work experience or any combination of work experience and training, which provides the desired knowledge, skills and abilities. Basic math skills are required. Must have excellent communication and customer service skills, as well as computer experience with programs such as Word, Word Perfect and Access. Starting salary range for this position is $43,155 - $45,313, plus an excellent benefits package.
