JOB DESCRIPTION
- Plans and conducts the analysis, inspection, design, test, and/or integration to assure the quality of assigned product or component.
- Performs quality engineering reviews of design documentation for compliance with stated requirements, including vendor quality manuals and company quality records.
- Applies statistical process control (SPC) methods for analyzing data to evaluate the current process and process changes.
- Engage with the General Contractor’s Quality Assurance Manager for inspection planning, project compliance, non-conformance management, quality audits.
- Provide project quality expectations to new inspectors.
- Attend weekly project update meetings with the project group including upcoming activities, status and deadlines.
- Reviews all purchased products or components and provides input to the decision of whether to accept the product and future purchases from the vendor.
- Documents data obtained during all quality assurance activities, consistent with company policies and procedures.
- Communicates significant issues or developments identified during quality assurance activities and provides recommended process improvements to management.
- Prepares reports to communicate involvement and results of quality assurance activities.
- Maintains a working knowledge of government and industry quality assurance codes and standards.
Certification Requirement:
○ AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI)
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- 3+ years of Quality Control Inspection supervisor experience supporting:
- ○ ASME B31 piping codes ○ Industrial or commercial construction projects (semiconductor preferred) ○ Fabrication and welding inspections ○ Non-destructive testing (NDT)
- Experience inspecting specialty welding applications and plastic piping systems such as:
- Polypropylene (PP)
- Polyvinyl chloride (PVC)
Other specialty process piping materials
NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Experience supporting data center, mission-critical, or semiconductor construction projects
Experience inspecting carbon steel, stainless steel, and high-purity process piping systems
Pay: $145,600.00 per year
