- Looking to hire Full time assistance with property care and upkeep as well as basic horse care. weeding, raking, spraying, cleaning horse stalls, cleaning horse pastures, feeding horses, filling and cleaning water troughs etc. Experience and weekends are required. This position is 40 hours per week and weekends will be mandatory when first starting. Back ground check required.
- Your primary responsibilities include providing daily care and feeding for up to 50 horses and sticking to a strict owner-approved feeding regimen.
- You will use established procedures and checklists to ensure animals and facilities are cared for in accordance with our requirements.
- duties also include daily cleaning out of the stalls and pastures, washing water troughs and automatic waters, and ensuring the horses are clean, healthy, and comfortable.
- Weekly upkeep, trash removal, and cleaning of the facilities
- Some basic landscaping work around the facility may include hand watering plants, setting sprinkler timers, spraying and/or pulling weeds around the grounds of the facility, weed eating
- Ensure all concrete and other walking surfaces are free from debris, snow and ice,
Physical Requirements:
- ability to lift, carry and load up to 80 pounds
- lift, shift or load bales of hay
- carry and climb a ladder safely up to 10 feet
- ability to use basic tools such as a shovel, snow shovel, rake, etc.
- ability to use small machines, such as a power washer, mower, leaf blower, etc.
- ability to work while standing for extended periods of time.
- Any large equipment or tractor Knowledge is a plus
