Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics on e-bikes, including symptom-based mechanical diagnosis to identify issues quickly and accurately
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on electric bike systems, including suspension, brakes, drivetrain, and electrical components
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and mechanical assembly techniques to repair and assemble bicycles efficiently
- Troubleshoot mechanical systems repair needs with a focus on safety, durability, and performance standards
- Assist customers with retail sales by explaining repair work, recommending accessories or upgrades, and providing expert cycling advice
- Maintain detailed service records using POS (point-of-sale) systems and ensure accurate documentation of repairs and maintenance work
- Support inventory management by handling parts ordering, stock organization, and ensuring availability of necessary tools and components
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a service technician with a strong background in bicycle repair or vehicle maintenance
- Knowledge of suspension systems, brake repair, mechanical assembly, and power tools operation
- Ability to perform symptom-based diagnosis for mechanical issues with precision and clarity
- Familiarity with retail sales processes, POS systems, retail math, and heavy lifting requirements
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to diverse audiences
- Experience working with maintenance, repair & operations (MRO), mechanical systems repair, and bicycle assembly is highly desirable
- Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by hands-on experience in cycling or vehicle maintenance environments
