Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various welding techniques and fabrication processes, with the ability to work effectively in a construction or manufacturing environment. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to read blueprints and schematics.
Responsibilities
- Perform MIG, TIG, and FCAW welding on various materials including sheet metal and pipe.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine project specifications.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely and effectively.
- Fabricate components according to specifications while adhering to ASME codes & standards.
- Conduct quality inspections of welds and finished products using calipers and micrometers.
- Operate cranes and forklifts for material handling as needed.
- Engage in rigging activities for lifting heavy components safely.
- Assist with ductwork assembly and installation as required.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
Experience
- Proven experience in welding within construction or manufacturing settings is preferred.
- Familiarity with various welding techniques including MIG, TIG, FCAW, soldering, and plasma cutting.
- Experience with fabrication processes and mechanical assembly is advantageous.
- Knowledge of basic math for measurements and calculations related to welding tasks.
- Ability to operate machinery such as press brake machines and perform pipe threading is a plus.
