Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Technical Lead / Solution Architect to lead the design, development, and delivery of modern cloud-native applications supporting a federal government program. The ideal candidate will provide technical leadership, define solution architecture, mentor development teams, and ensure successful implementation of secure, scalable, and maintainable software solutions.
This role requires extensive experience with AI-assisted software development practices using approved AI tools while maintaining full accountability for secure, production-ready deliverables.
Responsibilities
Lead architecture, design, and implementation of enterprise applications.
Define technical strategy, architecture standards, and development best practices.
Guide development teams through solution design, implementation, testing, and deployment.
Design cloud-native microservices and RESTful APIs.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
Review application architecture for scalability, performance, reliability, and security.
Mentor software engineers and conduct code reviews.
Support DevSecOps initiatives and CI/CD implementation.
Integrate AI-assisted development tools into the software delivery lifecycle.
Ensure compliance with federal security and governance standards.
Support production deployments and critical issue resolution.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
10+ years of software development experience.
5+ years leading technical teams or solution architecture initiatives.
Strong experience designing enterprise cloud applications.
Experience supporting federal government programs or large enterprise environments.
