You will develop and train a talented team of stylists and makeup artists, ensuring service excellence while fostering growth and success. Responsibilities:
Leadership & Training
- Recruit, train, and certify new stylists through Blo U’s training program.
- Conduct technical interviews and skill-based auditions for new hires.
- Provide ongoing skill development for stylists, including quality, speed, and sales training.
- Lead presentations at local hair schools to support recruitment efforts.
- Maintain a culture of learning and accountability, reinforcing Blo standards and policies.
Exceptional Guest Experience
- Deliver flawless blowouts, consultations, and 5-star guest experiences.
- Ensure team adherence to Blo’s 8-step service standards: Greeting, Consultation, Wash, Styling, Check-In, Finish, Product Recommendations, and Goodbye.
- Check-in mid-service to ensure guest satisfaction and minimize potential concerns.
- Educate guests on product benefits, add-on services, memberships, and promotions.
Grow the Business
- Drive retail sales through product recommendations and service upsells.
- Promote rebooking offers, memberships, gift cards, and current promotions to increase repeat business.
- Educate clients and team members on product offerings and marketing initiatives.
- Support membership growth by educating guests and encouraging sign-ups for the Mane Squeeze Membership program.
Management Support
- Assist with smooth daily operations, including staffing support and guest satisfaction.
- Track performance metrics and drive sales and service goals.
- Assist in team meetings, training agendas, and competitive incentive programs.
- Provide feedback to management to improve service quality and team performance.
Maintain a Clean, Safe, and Welcoming Environment
- Ensure all stations, tools, and equipment are clean, sanitized, and properly maintained.
- Follow state cosmetology regulations and company safety standards.
- Complete assigned daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning duties.
Qualifications:
- Licensed cosmetologist (required).
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in a salon or blow dry bar setting.
- Previous experience in training, mentoring, or team leadership preferred.
- Strong technical skills in blowouts, styling, and customer service.
- Passion for developing others and leading a team to success.
- Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.
- A positive, professional attitude with a commitment to service excellence.
