Winchester Wireless / Custom Computers is a locally owned and operated internet service provider delivering reliable high-speed wireless internet to residential and business customers throughout the region, along with computer sales & service and network design & support services.
In addition, our affiliated company manages and maintains a portfolio of rental properties, including renovations, repairs, and ongoing maintenance.
We are growing and looking for a dependable, skilled individual to support both sides of our operation.
Position Overview
This is a hybrid, hands-on role combining wireless internet installation/service work with general property maintenance and repair.
The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, comfortable working at heights, and enjoys a mix of technical and physical work. No two days are the same—this role requires versatility, problem-solving, and a strong work ethic.
Key Responsibilities
Wireless Installation & Service
- Install and service wireless internet equipment at residential and commercial properties
- Mount and align antennas on rooftops and towers
- Run and terminate Ethernet cabling
- Configure routers and customer network equipment
- Troubleshoot connectivity and performance issues
- Perform service calls and preventative maintenance
Property Maintenance & Repairs
- Perform general maintenance and repair tasks at rental properties
- Assist with remodeling projects (light carpentry, painting, basic electrical/plumbing)
- Handle service calls for tenant maintenance issues
- Support property turnover and unit preparation
Qualifications
- Comfortable working at heights (rooftops, ladders, and towers)
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Ability to perform physical work in indoor and outdoor environments
- Basic networking knowledge or willingness to learn
- Experience with tools, construction, or maintenance work
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (must be insurable)
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently
This is not an entry-level position — candidates must be comfortable working independently, solving problems in the field, and handling physically demanding work.
Preferred (but not required)
- Experience with wireless ISP equipment (Ubiquiti or similar)
- Background in low-voltage wiring or telecom
- Experience in property maintenance, construction, or remodeling
- Prior field service or installation experience
Compensation & Benefits
- $22 – $32 per hour, based on experience and skill level

Compensation Growth Opportunity
We offer a structured 90-day performance-based pay progression:
- Starting pay: $22–$26/hour (based on experience)
- 30-day review: opportunity for increase based on performance
- 60-day review: additional increase for demonstrated independence
- 90-day review: advancement into full pay range ($26–$32/hour)
Pay increases are based on reliability, skill development, and ability to perform work independently in both wireless installations and property maintenance.
Strong candidates with prior experience may qualify for accelerated advancement.
