One of the leading Building Contractor and Renovation Company all around the East Coast of Florida is now looking for a Kitchen Cabinet Designer to join our team
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Independently create simple to moderately complicated designs with reasonable supervision and be able to check same level of work;
- Master intermediate 2020 design skills, remaining current on design trends and guidelines;
- Prepare quotes and design packets for customers, to include floor plans, basic installation notes, perspectives, elevations, molding details, hardware/accessory details and items list;
- Support project execution by maintaining effective business relationships and consistent communication with all involved parties, including customers, store associates, Field Supervisors, Design Connect, and Sales and Marketing staff;
- Convert or amend existing design plans to accommodate customer revision requests;
- Effectively manage assigned projects within required deadlines.
- Build and maintain a working knowledge of all the Co products.
- Ability to research and interpret appliance specifications based on information provided by customer and/or Field Supervisor;
Additional responsibilities may include: assisting Sales Support team members with qualifying customers and responding to inquiries; preparation of daily and monthly reports; and additional tasks and duties as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Education, Experience and Skills
- Formal technical design training; degree in design or related field, or relevant work experience preferred;
- 1-3 years' experience in kitchen and bath design, drafting or architectural design work preferred;
- Holding or interest in pursuing AKBD certification preferred;
- Knowledge of design creation and packet preparation;
- Proficiency in 2020 required;
- Technical aptitude, including Microsoft Office, and ability to understand the construction business;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and customer-facing experience required;
- Excellent organization skills;
- Proactive problem solving skills;
- Desire to constantly improve skills on all levels;
- Ability to work in a fast paced, often-changing team environment;
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, talk, and hear; employee may also be required to sit for extended periods of time. The position will frequently require extended periods of time spent at a computer.
