American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Freestanding Emergency Department (FSED) position on night shift, requiring at least 1 year of ICU or ED experience and a TX or compact RN license.

Freestanding emergency department (FSED) setting — a 6-bed, 24/7 standalone ER
-
Night shift schedule: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM
-
13-week contract
-
Team nursing model due to the small 6-bed unit size
-
Patient ratio of 4:1
-
Night shift team includes 2 RNs, 1 Paramedic, 1 Rad Tech, and 1 Physician
-
Equipment includes Lucas Device, EKG Machine, BiPAP, Glidescope, and standard ER equipment
-
EMR: Meditech
-
Rotating weekends required
-
On-call may be requested but is not required
-
No floating required
-
Active TX or compact RN license required
-
Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, CPI, and TNCC — all issued by AHA or ARC, with no certifications expiring within the first 30 days of the assignment start

NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required

Minimum 1 year of recent ICU or Emergency Department RN experience

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

US SSN and date of birth required for consideration — no Canadian SSNs accepted

No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

One professional reference required

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible

Responsibilities include standard emergency care, EKG monitoring, blood draws, and medication administration

Freestanding ER experience is preferred but not required
-
Lab experience is a plus
-
Royal blue HCA scrubs are required
