Job Overview
Our faith based school is seeking a passionate and energetic Preschool Teacher and 2 Assistant Preschool Teachers to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will play a vital part in fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment where young children can explore, learn, and grow. Your enthusiasm for early childhood development, combined with your dedication to creating engaging lesson plans and managing classroom activities, will inspire our preschoolers to reach their full potential. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on children’s lives while developing your skills in a supportive setting.
This position is 10 months August - May, however pay can be over a 12 month period.
Duties
- Share the love of Christ with the students through prayer and Bible time. Helping young student grow in their knowledge and love of Christ.
- Implement age-appropriate curriculum, that is provided, that promotes literacy, math, and social-emotional skills
- Create a safe, welcoming classroom environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and positive behavior management
- Plan and execute engaging lessons and activities tailored to the developmental stages of toddlers and preschoolers
- Foster effective communication with children, parents, and colleagues to ensure a collaborative approach to child welfare and classroom management
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress, attendance, and assessments
- Assist in daily childcare routines such as meal times, nap times, diapering or potty training, and outdoor play
Skills
- Lead Teacher - DCF 45 hours minimum, CDA or FCCPC desired.
- Assistant teacher - preferred DCF 45 hours, however can start them when hired.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development age appropriate principles
- Preferred for Lead Teacher knowledge of lesson planning, and classroom management within preschool settings
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with parents, colleagues, and children in a clear and positive manner
- Preferred classroom experience in a preschool or private faith based school environments.
- Knowledge of behavior management strategies to promote positive social interactions and emotional regulation. Training can be provided.
- Competence in teaching gross motor and fine motor development
- Understanding of child welfare practices ensuring safety, health standards, and overall well-being

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
