Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Certified Medical Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. Duties
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments in primary care and internal medicine.
- Take and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates.
- Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures and ensuring comfort throughout their visit.
- Collect specimens for laboratory testing and perform phlebotomy with precision and care.
- Manage electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems), ensuring accurate documentation of patient information, medical history, medication lists, and ICD coding for billing purposes.
- Support medical administrative tasks such as appointment scheduling, patient intake, insurance verification, and maintaining medical records.
- Assist with medication administration under physician supervision and monitor patient responses during treatment.
- Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment adhering to infection control protocols.
- Collaborate effectively with providers to provide seamless patient care.
- Demonstrate proficiency in medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, pharmacology, and physiology to support comprehensive patient assessments.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification from an accredited program is required.
- Prior experience in a medical office environment is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of EMR/EHR systems and electronic health records management.
- Strong understanding of pharmacology, ICD coding, vital signs collection, and medical documentation standards.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) & phlebotomy certification is required.
- Excellent patient service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately across diverse populations.

Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour
