Description:
Position Summary
This position will be responsible for supervising the day-to-day shipping, receiving, operations, and inventory control.

Assigning daily tasks

Conduces periodic safety checks (PPE and ensuring policies are being followed)

Cleans, repairs, and ensures all equipment are in working condition and ready
-
Submit documentation for incident investigations, near miss reporting, hazard identification and implementation of corrective actions

Inspects loading operations for outgoing delivery to ensure compliance with shipping specifications, load limits, and safety regulations
-
Prepares and reconciles bills of lading and packing slips

Operating, maintaining, and training on safe forklift operation
-
Directs the loading, unloading, and movement of materials on the premises
-
Provides on-the-job training to new yard employees including product knowledge of items stored in yard, housekeeping, and safety procedures

Understand, support, implement, and follow lockout/tag out procedures

Ensures outside areas are kept neat and clean

Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- 2 years’ experience

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Safety and service oriented

Team player

May be asked to operate a company vehicle

Basic understanding of machine operating and safety protocols

Comfortable working in a fast pace environment

Previous experience operating a forklift is a must
Work Environment

Education
