New Concepts for Living (NCFL) is New Jersey’s fastest growing, community based, non-profit organization supporting adults with developmental disabilities and their families. We are seeking Registered Nurses and Licensed Practical Nurses to join our team! In this role, you will provide nursing care to individuals with developmental disabilities, ensuring their health and well-being while supporting their journey towards greater independence.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (include the following but are not limited to):

Communicate effectively with a variety of departments and providers, both verbally and in writing

Work cooperatively with all professional health providers, to ensure continuity of care

Maintain agency’s continuous compliance to the applicable regulatory requirements
-
Oversee day to day delivery of nursing functions
-
Assist with field orientation of newly hired nursing staff members as necessary

Conduct and participate in IDT, ISP and clinical meetings as necessary
-
Assure accurate, current medical records are maintained according to state and federal requirements and maintain client confidentiality

Maintains adequate knowledge in documentation requirements to serve as a resource for day program staff

Act as liaison between physician, nurse, pharmacist, and agency (when applicable)

Be flexible in changing work environment, work well in problem solving situations

Develop appropriate trainings per agency needs while assuring trainings are up to date per division standards

Work closely with program management to coordinate and meet participants’ daily needs

Attend to clients’ medical needs amongst all day programs as needed

Possess knowledge of nursing concepts and principles of delivery of quality patient care

Perform and document daily assessment of each individual and recommend course of action necessary to address health care concerns

Attend in-take meetings when applicable to review individuals’ medical needs prior to acceptance to program

Cooperate with New Concepts and Department Staff in any inspection and/or investigation
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with a current State of New Jersey Nursing License or Multi State Nursing License

Current New Jersey Registered Nurse (RN) License preferred; Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with relevant supervisory, clinical, or developmental disabilities experience will be considered.

Must be able to complete a fingerprinting background check, drug screen, and pre-employment physical in accordance with federal and state regulations.
