Guards must be attentive in monitoring the safety of the pool and surrounding area as well as capable of providing assistance when needed both in and out of the water.
Responsibilities:
- Monitoring activities in the pool and around the deck area
- Implementing guidelines and procedures established by the American Red Cross to maintain a safe pool environment, prevent injuries, and minimize dangerous situations
- Providing first aid care and appropriate assistance to members and guests when needed
- Assisting patrons, such as performing safety orientations, administering swim tests and fitting for life jackets
- Performing opening duties, closing duties or facility safety checks and inspections
- Enforcing facility rules and regulations and educating patrons about them
- Maintaining the cleanliness of the pool and pool area (picking up towels, lost and found, etc.)
- Present a professional appearance and attitude, as well as maintaining a high level of customer service
- Working as a team with other lifeguards, facility staff and management (Communication is Key)
- Assist in the completion of required records and reports on time
Requirements:
-Valid Lifeguard, CPR, and AED Certifications.
* Training will be available to those seeking certification *
-Must be 16 years of age or older
-Available to work flexible hours as well as holidays:
(Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day)
License/Certification:
- CPR and AED Certification (Required)
- Lifeguard Certification (Required)
