Job Title: Garage Door Technician & Installer
Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Garage Door Technician & Installer to join our team. This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining residential and commercial garage doors and related systems. The ideal candidate has a strong construction background, mechanical aptitude, and excellent customer service skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, service, and repair garage doors, openers, tracks, springs, and related components
- Diagnose mechanical and structural issues and develop effective solutions
- Safely operate tools, equipment, and lifts while working at various heights
- Perform routine maintenance and safety inspections
- Ensure all work meets company standards and customer expectations
- Communicate clearly with customers about services, timelines, and recommendations
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment and company vehicle
Requirements:
- Previous construction or mechanical experience required
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively in the field
- Proficiency with hand and power tools
- Ability to lift between 50–150 pounds regularly
- Comfortable working at heights using ladders and lift equipment
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record preferred
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with garage door systems or similar trades (HVAC, carpentry, electrical, etc.)
- Basic knowledge of safety standards and best practices
Work Environment:
- Combination of indoor and outdoor work in varying weather conditions
- Physically demanding role requiring lifting, climbing, and extended periods of standing
