We are seeking an experienced and passionate Medical Assistant Instructor to join our
academic team. The ideal candidate will provide hands-on training, guidance, and
mentorship to students pursuing a career as a Medical Assistant. This role involves
delivering high-quality instruction, preparing lesson plans, assessing student progress,
and ensuring students are prepared for certification and real-world work environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Instruction and Classroom Management:
o Deliver engaging lectures and hands-on training in medical assisting,
including clinical procedures, administrative duties, and patient care.
o Develop and update course materials, lesson plans, and instructional
activities.
o Ensure students gain practical experience with medical equipment, taking
vitals, performing injections, and assisting with minor procedures.
o Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, encouraging student
participation and engagement.
o Maintain an organized, clean, and safe classroom and lab environment.
Student Assessment & Support:
o Assess and evaluate student performance through quizzes, exams,
practical skills assessments, and projects.
o Provide constructive feedback and individualized support to help students
succeed.
o Monitor student attendance and academic progress, identifying and
addressing areas for improvement.
o Offer career advice and guidance on professional development, including
resume building and interview preparation.
Compliance & Program Development:
o Stay up-to-date with the latest industry standards, trends, and certification
requirements for Medical Assistants.
o Collaborate with the Program Director to ensure curriculum aligns with
accreditation standards and meets employer needs.
o Maintain student records and documentation as required by accreditation
bodies and institutional policies.
o Participate in faculty meetings, continuing education, and professional
development opportunities.
Qualifications:
Education:
o Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant
(RMA), or equivalent certification (required).
Experience:
o Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical experience as a Medical Assistant.
o Previous teaching or training experience in a classroom or healthcare
setting (preferred).
Skills:
o Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a passion for teaching.
o Ability to convey complex concepts in a clear, engaging manner.
o Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems, medical
equipment, and clinical procedures.
o Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
o Familiarity with educational technology and tools, including online learning
platforms (preferred).
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
