1 weekend shift--HRS. Fri 7am to 3pm, Sat & Sun 6am to 6pm, Mon 7am to 3pm
$60,000/year
We are currently seeking an experienced Transportation Supervisor to lead Gate, Yard, and Spotting operations in Louisville, KY. This is a leadership role responsible for optimizing transportation operations, supervising yard activities, improving efficiency, and supporting day-to-day operational success.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise Gate, Yard, and Spotting operations
- Enforce safety policies and maintain operational excellence
- Create and maintain SOPs and operational procedures
- Conduct employee training and on-the-spot coaching
- Coordinate with Material Leaders, Distribution Teams, Spotters, and Gate personnel
- Monitor employee performance, attendance, and productivity
- Troubleshoot operational and equipment issues
- Support staffing, scheduling, and performance management
- Maintain strong relationships with vendors, customers, and internal leadership
- Identify process improvements and cost-saving opportunities
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 2 years of Transportation Supervisor experience or equivalent leadership experience
- Transportation, warehouse, logistics, or yard management experience preferred
- Experience working in union environments
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in fast-paced operations environments
- Microsoft Office proficiency including Excel, Outlook, and Word
