Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. The ideal candidate will have experience in home care and a strong understanding of the unique needs of individuals with developmental disabilities. As a Caregiver, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by offering personalized care and companionship.
Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Monitor and record vital signs to ensure the health and well-being of clients.
- Provide support for individuals with developmental disabilities, fostering independence and promoting personal growth.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, ensuring hygiene standards are met.
- Engage clients in social and recreational activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being.
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations to protect client confidentiality and privacy.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals regarding client needs and progress.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks as needed to maintain a comfortable living space for clients.
Requirements
- Previous experience in home care or as a caregiver is preferred.
- Knowledge of CPR and first aid is highly desirable.
- Ability to monitor vital signs accurately.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus.
- Cooking skills to prepare nutritious meals tailored to client preferences and dietary restrictions.
- A commitment to providing compassionate care while respecting client dignity and autonomy.
- Must be able to pass background checks as required by state regulations.
