American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with 2+ years of experience for a day shift position in a hospital-based CT Scan department in Charlotte, NC.
-
Work in a 373-bed acute care hospital (344 acute, 29 inpatient rehab) with no trauma designation that is TJC Stroke accredited
-
CT Scan department serves ED, inpatient, observation, and outpatient populations
-
Department averages 160 studies per weekday and 120 studies on weekends
-
Procedures include CT-guided invasive procedures, cases requiring anesthesia, and Cardiac CT imaging (performed on day shift, 7 days/week)

3 CT scanners in use: Siemens Definition AS 40, Siemens Force, and Siemens Edge+
-
Bayer/Medrad Power Injectors used for contrast administration

EMR: Epic (Epic Radiant for RIS); PACS: Philips iSite
-
Monday–Friday, 10:30 AM – 7:00 PM (8-hour day shifts), 40 hours/week

On-call required approximately 2–3 shifts per month

No floating required

Travelers are expected to work 75% of holidays

Minimum 2 years of experience in CT scanning, with most recent experience within the last year
-
ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology with advanced registry in CT
-
Current BLS certification
-
Active license required, if applicable

Proficiency in starting peripheral IVs
-
Experience with venous and arterial phase scanning, multi-phase scanning, stroke imaging including perfusion, and colorectal studies
-
Last 4 digits of SSN and full date of birth required for consideration

Minimum 1 professional reference dated within the past year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN
-
Candidate's permanent address must be 50+ miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted

Perform CT-guided invasive procedures, cardiac CT imaging, stroke/perfusion studies, colorectal studies, and multi-phase contrast imaging
-
Guest Services and Transport staff support inpatient and observation patient movement within the department
-
Orientation includes 1 day of administrative onboarding (Epic, eLearnings, policy review) followed by 2 days to 1 week of departmental orientation as needed
-
A clinical interview with the manager is required as part of the selection process
-
TeraRecon knowledge is preferred but not required
-
Black scrubs required
