GMP Utilities Mechanic, Process Controls

Onsite in Branchburg, NJ
Mon-Fri shift, flexibilty for the occasional weekend work with any planned maintenance schedule.
1 year contract, with possibility of extending up to 3 years or converting to FTE
2-4 years GMP experience
Ideal trade experience in: electrical, piping, hvac etc
Summary:
Working in a highly regulated cGMP manufacturing facility, the role of the Process Controls GMP Utilities Mechanic is to perform the maintenance, monitoring and operations of manufacturing and clean utility systems. Daily responsibilities will require the candidate to perform the taking of system readings, performance of preventative maintenance plans and provide system troubleshooting to resolve any problems with production and cGMP clean utility systems.
Responsibilities:
The Process Controls GMP Utilities Mechanic position responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Monitor and perform daily system readings in support of cGMP clean utility systems in accordance with sop's.
Performs and documents both planned and unplanned maintenance / repair in support of cGMP clean utility systems and manufacturing equipment as directed by supervisor.
cGMP clean utility systems and manufacturing equipment to include, but not limited too;
Purified Water Generation and Distribution Systems
Clean Steam Generation Systems
Clean In Place systems
Autoclaves
Glass Washers
Vacuum systems
Manufacturing Process Vessels w/ancillary pumps and valves
Ability to lift 80 lbs.
Must be able to respond to emergency calls 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.
Other duties as assigned by management.
Education and Experience:
High School diploma, Associate/Bachelor's Degree preferred.
0-5 years related experience within an industry such as: Diagnostics, Pharmaceutical or other relevant industries.
Technical / Trade school specializing in electrical or mechanical system (Preferred).
Other Qualifications:
Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills necessary to develop and maintain smooth, cooperative working relationships.
Proven background to identify, learn, develop, implement, and sustain new areas of subject matter expertise.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills: written (business e-mail, technical documents, programs) and verbal (meeting participation, presentation, and training).
Computer Skills: Proficiency in Google Docs, Gmail, Microsoft Office Suite.
Additional Knowledge (Preferred):
Mechanical systems (e.g., valves, pumps, motors, seals, bearings, etc.).
PLC (e.g., industrial maintenance, computer control systems, etc.).
Troubleshooting (e.g., diagnostics, problem solving, etc.)
Schematics (e.g., P&IDs, mechanical, electrical, controls etc.).
