Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled CAD Operator to support our small steel and concrete commercial construction company. This role is responsible for producing accurate construction drawings and shop details that support fabrication, field installation, and project coordination.
Duties
- Prepare and revise CAD drawings for structural steel, concrete, and related components
- Develop shop drawings, layouts, and as-built drawings from engineering plans and field information
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and field crews to ensure drawing accuracy
- Maintain organized drawing files and documentation
- Incorporate redlines and revisions promptly and accurately
Qualifications
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (experience with structural steel and concrete preferred)
- Ability to read and interpret construction and structural drawings
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, small-company environment
- Construction or fabrication industry experience a plus
