Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Apartment Leasing Agent to join our property management team. In this energetic role, you will be the first point of contact for prospective residents, guiding them through the leasing process with enthusiasm and professionalism. Responsibilities
- Greet prospective tenants warmly, providing detailed information about available apartments and community amenities.
- Conduct property tours, highlighting features and answering questions to facilitate leasing decisions.
- Manage the leasing process from initial inquiry through application approval, ensuring compliance with Fair Housing regulations and Section 8 guidelines.
- Prepare, review, and negotiate lease agreements, contracts, and related legal documents with accuracy and transparency.
- Maintain up-to-date records of all leasing activities using property management software such as Yardi or OneSite; perform data entry and filing diligently.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure property upkeep aligns with tenant expectations and regulatory standards.
- Handle conflict management professionally by addressing tenant concerns promptly while adhering to legal administrative procedures.
- Upsell additional services or amenities to enhance resident satisfaction and maximize revenue opportunities.
- Assist with administrative tasks including phone etiquette, filing, and managing customer relationship management (CRM) systems.
- Support compliance efforts related to LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit), Fair Housing laws, and other regulatory requirements.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of property leasing processes, including lease negotiations and contract management.
- Experience working with LIHTC programs, Section 8 housing vouchers, or other government-assisted housing initiatives.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport quickly and handle conflict effectively.
- Knowledge of landlord-tenant law, Fair Housing regulations, and legal administrative procedures.
- Proven sales ability
