Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Dump Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting materials to and from construction sites, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the dump truck. This role requires a strong understanding of commercial driving regulations and the ability to operate various types of equipment on construction sites.
Ability to drive manual is preferred. Pay will depend on experience.
Responsibilities
- Operate dump trucks to transport materials such as dirt, gravel, and asphalt to designated locations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in safe operating condition.
- Collaborate with construction crews to understand material needs and delivery schedules.
- Safely load and unload materials, ensuring proper weight distribution for safe transport.
- Assist in grading, digging, bulldozing, building, paving, and other site operations as needed.
- Operate additional equipment such as graders, water trucks, or tankers when required.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and vehicle maintenance logs.
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations while on-site.
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Experience operating dump trucks and familiarity with construction site operations.
- Knowledge of grader operation, bulldozing techniques, and material handling practices is preferred.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and perform physical tasks associated with loading/unloading materials.
- Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members on-site.
- Commitment to safety standards and practices in all aspects of work.
