Position Overview
Achieve Academy is seeking experienced Former Admissions Officers from highly selective universities to join our college admissions consulting team. This role is ideal for professionals who have firsthand experience evaluating applications and understand what distinguishes outstanding candidates in today's highly competitive admissions landscape.
As a Former Admissions Officer, you will provide expert guidance throughout the admissions process, helping students develop authentic, compelling, and competitive applications while collaborating with our multidisciplinary academic team.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive admissions evaluations and identify each student's strengths, opportunities, and competitive positioning.
- Develop individualized admissions strategies for students applying to Top 50 universities, including Ivy League, Stanford, MIT, UC, and other highly selective institutions.
- Guide students in academic planning, extracurricular development, leadership opportunities, research, internships, and summer programs.
- Advise students on college list development, major selection, and institutional fit.
- Review Common App, UC Applications, supplemental essays, activity lists, resumes, and interview preparation.
- Collaborate with essay specialists, academic strategists, research mentors, and portfolio advisors to ensure a cohesive admissions strategy.
- Meet regularly with students and parents, providing progress updates and long-term planning.
- Stay informed about evolving admissions policies, institutional priorities, and application trends.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as an Admissions Officer or Admissions Reader at a selective university.
- Deep understanding of holistic admissions review.
- Excellent communication and mentoring skills.
- Experience working with high-achieving students is preferred.
- Ability to work independently in a collaborative, student-centered environment.
- Remote or onsite availability.
Pay range is based on several factors, including experience and qualifications.
Part Time Pay Range: $50-$80
Full Time Pay Range: 60k-80k
Pay: $50.00 - $80.00 per hour
