Overview
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Site Construction Manager with a minimum of five years of experience in managing GIS Sites, complex infrastructure and commercial construction projects. In this pivotal role, you will lead construction activities on-site, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and in strict compliance with all relevant regulations. Your expertise in construction management software, project scheduling, and team leadership will drive project success from planning through execution. Duties
- Lead and coordinate all construction activities on-site, ensuring adherence to project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Manage and supervise construction teams, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure high-quality work and timely completion.
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using project management software to track progress and identify potential delays.
- Oversee construction regulatory compliance, safety protocols, and quality standards to uphold a safe working environment.
- Review construction plans, schematics, blueprints, and contracts to ensure clarity and accuracy before execution.
- Utilize construction estimating tools like HeavyBid for cost management and budget tracking throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate with project stakeholders to facilitate effective communication, progress updates, and problem resolution.
- Manage project documentation including change orders, RFIs (Requests for Information), daily reports, and safety records using Construction management software like ProCore or Bluebeam.
Requirements
- Minimum of five years of proven experience managing heavy civil or commercial construction projects with a focus on infrastructure or large-scale developments.
- Experience operating machinery - forklifts, backhoes, etc,
- Strong proficiency in Primavera P6, Primavera P3, Civil 3D, Bluebeam, ProCore, HeavyBid, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), and other construction project management tools.
- Extensive knowledge of construction scheduling, cost management, contract administration, blueprint reading, and schematics interpretation.
- Demonstrated ability to manage teams effectively in a fast-paced construction environment while maintaining high safety standards.
- Experience with construction regulatory compliance including OSHA standards and local building codes.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently using time management techniques.
- Strong communication skills for clear collaboration with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams.
