Wolf's Mercantile, Livingston's premier shopping destination, seeks a part-time cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while accurately processing transactions. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment. The position is perfect for a high school or college aged candidate who can work the summer and fill in during winter breaks.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide assistance as needed.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system to process transactions efficiently.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit card transactions with accuracy.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area.
- Assist in stocking shelves and maintaining inventory levels.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth store operations.
- Uphold company policies regarding cash handling and customer service.
Experience
- Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred.
- Strong cash handling skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members.
- Experience using POS systems is a plus.
- Knowledge of sales techniques is advantageous.
