This is a full-time, onsite CNC Machinist role focused on lathe and mill setup and operation within a busy machining and fabrication environment in Central Texas. This position is hands-on and shop-floor driven, not a programming role, requiring a strong ability to read blueprints, perform setups, and produce high-quality, precise components. The ideal candidate takes pride in craftsmanship, works efficiently, and maintains a high standard of accuracy and safety.
Onsite position located approximately 40 minutes east of Waco, Texas. No remote work available.
• Set up and operate CNC lathes and vertical and horizontal mills for production runs
• Make minor code edits and adjustments directly at the machine as needed
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to execute machining tasks accurately
• Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools to ensure quality and tolerance standards
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace and follow all safety procedures
• CNC lathe and mill setup and operation
• Blueprint reading and interpretation
• Proficiency with calipers, micrometers, and precision measuring tools
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on CNC machining experience
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Must provide and maintain personal measuring tools
• Familiarity with Fanuc and Haas controls
• Experience working with machines such as vertical mills, horizontal mills, and CNC lathes including Mori Seiki and Haas
• Exposure to materials including aluminum, brass, copper, and plastics
• Basic familiarity with Fusion 360 and JobBOSS is a plus
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
• Reliable transportation required for onsite work
Compensation
Hourly pay ranges from $28 to $30 per hour, based on experience.
