Job Overview
We are seeking a qualified Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mental health care and be passionate about providing support to individuals in need. This role involves working with diverse populations, to deliver therapeutic services and assessments. The QMHP will utilize various therapeutic techniques and interventions to promote mental wellness and improve the quality of life for patients.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to determine mental health needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide individual and group counseling sessions utilizing evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
- Implement art therapy techniques to facilitate expression and healing among patients.
- Deliver telehealth services as needed, ensuring accessibility for all patients.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and ensure holistic treatment approaches.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress, treatment plans, and compliance with ICD-9 coding standards.
- Engage with patients in special education settings, providing tailored support based on their unique needs.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
Experience
Candidates should have experience or training in the following areas:
- Telehealth practices and technology
- Art therapy methodologies
- Patient assessment techniques
- Individual and group counseling strategies
- General patient care principles
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) applications
- Special education frameworks, particularly in pediatric settings
