Multiple contract positions are available to support a range of programs, including FMLA leave coverage at Eagle Ridge MS, resource teaching in middle schools, and center-based programs specializing in Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and Developmental Cognitive Disabilities (DCD). Each center-based role focuses on supporting students with behavioral needs within a cross-categorical program environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Minnesota teaching credential in one or more areas: Autism Spectrum Disorders, Developmental Disabilities, Early Childhood Special Education, Emotional Behavioral Disorders, Learning Disabilities, Special Education, or Academic & Behavioral Strategist License.
- Demonstrated success with behavior management strategies and structured problem-solving.
- Strong knowledge of developing and implementing behavior plans within classroom routines.
- Proven track record of excellent attendance and reliability.
- Effective instructional skills and experience collaborating with both special education and general education colleagues.
- Experience scheduling and collaborating with paraprofessionals.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support and instruction to students in resource and center-based programs.
- Develop, monitor, and implement individualized education and behavior intervention plans.
- Adapt curriculum and instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
- Foster positive classroom environments rooted in structure, routine, and clear expectations.
- Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive student support.
- Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with all relevant guidelines.
