SUMMARY: The Warehouse and Quality Control Associate provides excellent customer service, verifies measurements and inspects stone products to identify fabrication errors after production. Accurate shipment and receiving of product and performs office administrative tasks related to the sale of merchandise as needed.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Load/unload trucks manually and via forklift, order picking, wrapping products, packing, labeling, shipping and receiving
- Receive merchandise, ensuring quantity on orders is correct and verifying inventory records through check-in and receiving process
- Maintaining accurate bin locations and inventory counts
- Answer incoming calls and assist with resolving issues (returns/order errors) to ensure customer satisfaction and retention
- Participate in physical inventory counts for the purpose of confirming stock quantities and identifying variances
- Enter customer orders, create pick tickets, process payments and receipts, produce daily sales report, complete stock replenishment orders
- Inform customers of product availability, unit prices, delivery dates, anticipated delays and any additional information needed for customer inquiries/sales
- Performs various customer service duties such as: assisting customers, help determine order requirements, answering customer inquiries, pulling samples, provide direction/selection assistance, complete sales transactions and accept payments
- Responsible for cleanliness and organization of work areas

Quality Control Responsibilities — Verification of Measurements & Inspection of Stone for Defects
- Inspect natural and engineered stone surfaces for defects, cracks, chips, scratches, color variation, and fabrication errors after production.
- Verify measurements, edge profiles, cutouts, seams, and finished dimensions against shop drawings and customer specifications.
- Check polish quality, surface finish consistency, and gloss levels on countertops, vanities, fireplaces, and custom stone pieces.
- Ensure sink cutouts, edge details, backsplashes, and seam placements meet company quality standards.
- Conduct final detail inspections prior to packaging, delivery, or installation.
- Maintain cleanliness of finished products to prevent contamination, staining, or damage.
- Document quality issues, production defects, and rework requirements accurately.
- Communicate quality concerns with fabricators, machine operators, supervisors, and installers to ensure corrective action.
- Verify proper labeling and job tracking, for completed pieces.
- Follow safety procedures while operating all shop equipment
- Assist with training team members on quality standards, finishing techniques, and inspection procedures.
- Ensure compliance with company standards, customer expectations, and production timelines.
- Monitor material handling procedures to reduce breakage and product damage.
- Support continuous improvement efforts to reduce fabrication errors and increase production efficiency.
- Work closely with installation teams to resolve field quality issues when necessary.
