The forklift operator provides support for HPP by moving product from the warehouse and HPP production areas. Load and unload trucks that are docked.
Major tasks, responsibilities, and key accountabilities:
- Use a forklift to load and unload trucks when they are docked
- Use a forklift and/or pallet jack to move product from the warehouse to the HPP production floor and vice versa.

Retrieve product from warehouse by following processes and procedures set by HPP Supervisor and Warehouse Manager
- Follow instructions on where to place the product on the production floor

Will be required to retrieve and put away product in designated locations by using handheld scanners and location codes
- Follow all safety processes and procedures
- Will need to work at a fast pace and meet deadlines
- The position is not always 100% working as a Material Handler. This position is required to perform all tasks assigned by HPP Manager/Supervisor/Lead. These tasks will include helping out the Production area by loading or unloading tubes from vessels, packing/unpacking products, pricing, wrapping, taping, making boxes, sanitation, and any and all other assigned tasks.

Performing inventory counts for accuracy and discrepancies

Shipping and receiving duties as assigned

Use radio frequency equipment for picking, receiving and put-a-way

Safe and efficient operation of the vehicle and equipment

Perform order filler and checker duties

Maintain equipment and perform pre-operation checks according to policy

Follow health, safety, and cleanliness standards

Excellent attendance and punctuality for an hourly role

Handle any minor tasks related to the duties of the position
Forklift Operator Team Member Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
-
High School Diploma/GED required
-
Three months Material Handling Equipment/Forklift experience preferred
-
Experience using warehouse management and inventory systems preferred
-
Experience with the refrigeration, warehouse, production, or manufacturing environment preferred
-
Experience following safety procedures preferred

Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy

Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations

Ability to communicate effectively in English

Ability to balance productivity, quality, and safety

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Working Conditions

This job operates in a wet and cold environment located within a manufacturing facility. The average temperature is 32 degrees.

This position requires the ability to stand for 8 to 10-hour shifts and perform repetitive bending, twisting, and lifting. It requires the ability to lift 45 lbs. on a regular basis and up to 75 lbs. rarely.
