American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum) position requiring at least 3 years of RN experience and an active WA or compact RN license.

LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum) unit within a hospital setting

Variable shift schedule

13-week contract

Active WA state or compact RN license required

Minimum 3 years of RN experience required

BLS (Healthcare Provider level, AHA or equivalent) required
-
ACLS certification required (must be obtained within 6 months of hire if not already held)

NRP Advanced (AAP) required prior to end of orientation

AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring or NCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring certification required (must be obtained within 3 months of completing L&D training)

Graduation from an accredited school of nursing required

Physical ability to lift/carry up to 30 lbs independently and up to 300 lbs with assistance, and to perform CPR

Ability to stand, walk, and manage patient care activities for 8–12 hours per shift
-
Functions in a dual role as both direct caregiver and care manager, overseeing and delegating to other care team members as needed
-
May be required to serve as Charge Nurse, including patient assignment delegation, coordinating admissions/discharges/transfers, and staff problem-solving

Documents patient care using EMR and/or paper processes per regulatory requirements

STABLE course completion within 6 months of orientation is optional
-
RN-C specialty certification is preferred
-
Up to 24 hours of call-off per month may be available during the assignment
