Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented CNC Router Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating CNC (Computer Numerical Control) routers and related machinery to produce high-quality components according to technical specifications. Your expertise in machine operation, blueprint reading, and precision measurement will ensure efficient production processes and top-tier product quality. Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC routers, including programming and calibration using CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software and CNC programming techniques.
- Interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and production documents to accurately produce parts.
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and adjustments on CNC machinery such as CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, press brake machines, stamping presses, and other industrial equipment.
- Measure finished parts using precision tools like calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards to ensure dimensional accuracy.
- Maintain safety standards in production environments by adhering to safety protocols and properly handling materials and tooling.
- Collaborate with team members on fabrication tasks, assembly line processes, and materials handling to optimize workflow efficiency.
- Document production activities accurately, including quality control checks, machine logs, and inspection reports.
Skills
- Proficiency in CNC machining operations with experience in CNC programming and CAM programming software.
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, mechanical blueprint interpretation, and technical drawing analysis.
- Familiarity with industrial equipment such as fanuc controls, press brake machines, stamping presses, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and related tooling.
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments like micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and shop math for accurate measurements.
- Mechanical knowledge of manufacturing processes including fabrication, materials handling, packaging, and assembly.
- Experience with factory or manufacturing facility environments with a focus on safety standards in production settings.
- Skilled in troubleshooting machine issues and performing basic maintenance or repairs as needed.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills; capable of interpreting technical drawings and production documents effectively.
- Ability to operate hand tools and use basic math skills for machining tasks; familiarity with GD&T principles is a plus.
