Key Qualifications:
- Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT)
- Experience in school-based or pediatric settings preferred
- Skilled in conducting evaluations and implementing individualized treatment plans
- Comfortable collaborating with teachers, staff, and parents for student success
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation abilities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct OT services to K-1 students, adapting interventions for individualized needs
- Assess fine motor, sensory, and functional abilities as part of student evaluations
- Collaborate closely with educational teams and families to support goal achievement
- Develop and implement IEP goals and progress reports, in compliance with district requirements
- Offer consultative services and resources to staff for classroom integration
- Maintain accurate and timely records of all therapy sessions and student progress
- Participate in team meetings as needed throughout the school year
This part-time assignment fits seamlessly into your schedule, requiring just 4-6 hours per week from August 24th to June 4th. With the forecasted caseload of around 30 students, you’ll play a pivotal role in their academic and social development.
