Electronics Technician / Sales & Service Specialist – Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Electronics Technician / Sales & Service Specialist to join our team. This role combines technical repair expertise with sales execution and inventory responsibility. The ideal candidate will not only diagnose and repair devices but also educate customers on products, protection plans, and service solutions that enhance device performance and longevity.
Technicians in this role are held to performance metrics related to repair quality, customer experience, and revenue generation.
Key Responsibilities
Technical & Repair
- Repair phones, tablets, computers, gaming consoles, and other electronic devices
- Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and low-voltage system issues
- Perform component replacements and board-level repairs as applicable
- Utilize hand tools and diagnostic equipment to complete repairs
- Maintain and service electronic systems and components
- Drive a company vehicle to complete on-site/field repairs as needed
Sales & Service Execution
- Promote and sell phone accessories (cases, screen protectors, chargers, etc.)
- Educate customers on and sell warranty/protection programs
- Offer and perform additional services such as:
- Device cleanings
- Data transfers
- Device setups
- Software support
- Identify upsell opportunities that improve customer outcomes
- Meet or exceed individual sales and attach-rate performance metrics
(Accessories, warranties, and service add-ons are tracked and measured.)
Customer Support
- Provide technical support and answer customer technology questions
- Deliver excellent customer service from intake to device pickup
- Clearly explain repair recommendations and service options
Inventory & Operations
- Count, track, and manage store inventory and parts
- Maintain accuracy in inventory systems and reporting
- Monitor accessory levels and restock as needed
- Reduce controllable loss through proper inventory handling
- Assist with receiving, labeling, and organizing products and parts
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proficiency in smartphone, tablet, laptop, and game console repairs
- Experience using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and voltmeters
- Knowledge of low-voltage systems and electronic components
- Ability to effectively use hand tools and repair equipment
- Strong troubleshooting and mechanical aptitude
- Sales experience or comfort recommending products/services
- Inventory handling and cycle count experience preferred
- Field service experience as a service technician (preferred)
- Strong communication and customer service skills

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20.0 – 40.0 per week
